Running out of room (and quickly!)

Over the last two weeks I have been amazed at how quickly Caitlyn seems to be growing.  Her bubble like movements and taps have turned into undulating waves across my belly and sharp jabs.  When she is stretching, I can feel her from my ribs down to the bone (scary considering I have a long torso and more than 6 weeks to go).  On Tuesday I was laying on my side on the couch with the remote in my hand.  All of a sudden I felt a sudden, sharp pain in my side.  I yelled out throwing the remote in the air.  Brian's eyes got really big and he started freaking out asking me if something was wrong.  No, nothing wrong, just our darling dimpled daughter karate chopping an organ.  With her continuing to grow about a 1/2 lb. a week, I have no idea where she is going to go (except popping out of my stomach a la Alien).

I had my 32 week check up yesterday and everything continues to go well.  I'm still measuring a little big (at 34 weeks) but everything else is in check.  Caitlyn once again refused to cooperate with the Doppler and after several minutes of searching around her heartbeat was 150bpm.  I expressed my concern that she will be a big baby, but the doctor thinks she could just be long since Brian is pretty tall.  I'm not totally buying that.  And for those of you I haven't told yet, Caitlyn's scheduled arrival date is April 24th (unless she decides to make an early entrance).

Brian and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary over the weekend.  The picture is from that evening (32 weeks pregnant).

  1. So sweet! When you said this pic was from your anniversary celebration it reminded me that I have a similar pic from when we went out to dinner for our 7 yr anniversary....Evan arrived 3 days later! :)

  2. Well, if you don't want her to arrive before that date, I must advise that you not celebrate your anniversary TOO much... if you know what I mean. Sorry, Brian!

    P.S. You look beautiful!
