One Month in Review

Caitlyn turned 1 month old this weekend and I can't believe how quickly the time has passed or how much she has grown in just 4 short weeks.  She is definitely all girl and will spend hours daintily moving her arms, legs and fingers around like a ballet dancer.  She is also freakishly strong, already holding her head up.  Every day she gets more active and her little personality keeps getting bigger.  She really enjoys playing on her mat and will stare at her black & white book for hours.  Just this weekend she has started cooing more, sticking her tongue out and even "talking" a little bit.  Her facial expressions go on for hours - hence the
hundreds of pictures I've taken trying to capture them all.  My favorites are the mom brow (eyebrow raised) and the Popeye (one eye open, one closed).  She'll open that one eye when I'm feeding her or she's sleeping in my arms, calmly check things out and then close it again.  She loves her swing and riding in the car seat and her stroller.  She doesn't hesitate to let you know if she is hungry or wants something.  She likes taking baths, being bounced and is fascinated with lights and ceiling fans.  She is already becoming a daddy's girl and is happiest when he is burping her.  She sleeps anywhere from 4-6 hours at night and the pacifier works wonders in calming her.  It is amazing to watch her grow and develop.  I can't wait to see what next month brings.
