For the Fourth we decided to grill out at home since Caitlyn is a bit too young to really enjoy the festivities, especially when it's so hot. So after a nice day together and a quick family picture (you can't tell, but her onesie says Daddy's Little Sparkler) we started playing some Jerry Jeff and began the prep work. Hamburgers and hot dogs for the grill? Check. Corn on the cob? Check. Baked beans? check. Waiting until dusk to avoid grilling when it's 100 degrees Check. Propane in the tank? Umm, not so much. And, since we waited so long to grill, all the places close to us were either closed or sold out. So we wrapped up the hamburgers and corn on the cob. We covered the grill and put away all the condiments. We turned off the porch light and...ordered a pizza. Oh well, the next day wasn't nearly as hot and we still got to grill out.
