It's hard to believe that Caitlyn turns 3 months old tomorrow. The time just keeps flying by. Part of me wants to have her grow more quickly so she can start sitting up, walking and talking with me. I'm really looking forward to taking her places and experiencing a world of firsts through her eyes. But the other part wants me to keep her small forever. She is so sweet and cuddly. She really is a good baby all around. She's sleeping, on average, 8 hours a night now but has slept as much as 11 hours! And, for whatever reason, she loves to get her diaper changed. She laughs and smiles and kicks her legs. We'll be putting out the jumperoo soon and I have a feeling she is going to love it.

She's pushing herself up now when she's on her tummy, although it's definitely not her favorite position. She'll start fussing for me to roll her over after a few minutes. She's actually rolled over herself from her stomach to her back several times. It's hit or miss, and she hasn't perfected it yet, but I'm having to be more careful with her since I know she can maneuver more easily now. She still likes sitting in her Bumbo chair and she loves playing with her links and will spend what seems like hours trying to grab and eat them.

It will be probably be awhile before I have any updates. We're off for California tomorrow evening. Caitlyn is getting baptized this weekend at the Mission San Antonio de Padua in northern California. Brian is coming back Monday and I'll be staying through the week and then heading to LA to visit my brothers. I'll be flying with Caitlyn by myself on the way back so wish me luck!
Good luck! Not that you'll need it, you SuperMom you! She is growing so fast and I can't believe she is almost 12 pounds already. Yes, enjoy every single stage as it comes, never rushing the next one. They fly by... as you have already learned. Safe travels to you!
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to ask... How is Daisy responding to her little sister?
