Up!

Like a postcard - the Plano Balloon Festival

This weekend, Brian, Caitlyn and I once again decided to brave the heat (will it ever end?) and headed to Plano for their annual balloon festival. I just love being able to take Caitlyn places now and see everything through her eyes. It makes it so much more fun. She's still at an age where she can't do everything yet but she gets so excited and happy over the smallest things, it just totally makes your day.

It was tough trying to stay cool and poor Caitlyn clearly got my genes when it comes to overheating and turning beet read. Sorry kiddo! We shared a snow cone and tried to sit in the shade but, unfortunately, our prime viewing spot was in the sun. They had parachuters jump from a plane and then had the hot air balloon launch. It really was beautiful, especially with the sun setting.

Pointing out the parachuters on their way down

Waiting for all the balloons to launch

Checking out the really big balloons with Daddy

The family

Me and the hubby

Worn out, totally drenched in sweat and signing for water (I think we went through at least 5 bottles in the two hours we were there)
