Also hitting the 6 month mark is our sweet pea Emerson. She's weighing in at 14 pounds, 13 ounces (22%) - just a few more ounces than Caitlyn at the same age - and is 25 1/2 inches tall (35%). She is definitely our little mover and shaker. She is rolling all over the place now and can even push herself backwards on her tummy and has gotten up on her elbows and knees. She absolutely loves the jumperoo. We've affectionately dubbed her the bouncing queen because she goes to town rocking, then bouncing, then rocking and bouncing. She is so wiggly we can't put her in the Bumbo any longer and she has to be strapped into the bouncer or swing. I've started putting her in the pack in play when I need to leave the room because she has been known to roll into furniture and hurt herself. She's done some limited sitting up but her balance isn't that great yet.
She doesn't have any teeth yet, but I can see where they're getting ready to come through. As such, she's been super fussy the last week and hasn't been eating any solid food. When she does eat, she particularly dislikes any type of meat and veggies. This last week she hasn't even been eating most fruit, but she loves anything with bananas and strawberry yogurt. If given the opportunity she'll take long naps during the day - 3 hours or so, but with Caitlyn's schedule it's not always easy to get that. She is sleeping about 10-11 hours every night which is great. Her personality is super sweet, smiley and independent. She's perfectly content playing by herself for long periods of time. She's not a big talker like her brother but she smiles and giggles a lot, especially at her big sister.
