Emerson is one spunky sweetheart. Every day she reminds me more and more of Caitlyn. She is constantly on the move exploring her environment, and she is fast. She literally crawls in circles around (and over) her big brother. Emerson has reached some big milestones this month as well. She started pulling up onto her knees and by the end of the month she was able to pull herself all the way up to a standing position. She can also balance on her knees now, although she doesn't usually stay still long enough to do it.
Eating wise she still prefers baby food with fruits mixed in with the meats and veggies, but she's been doing great with solid foods and has perfected the pincher grasp so most of it actually ends up in her mouth! She loves cheerios, chicken, green beans, broccoli and loves the tartness of raspberries. She still doesn't sleep as long or as well as her big bro, especially for naps. Sometimes she will wear herself out but be so wound up at the same time that I've taken to "birding" her as I call it (like covering up a bird in a cage). I place a blanket over her carseat so she can't see anyone or anything. Once the stimulation is removed, she usually calms down and falls asleep pretty quickly. She's also developed a little bit of stranger anxiety but it's not really consistent and has a lot to do with how tired she is.
