9 Months in Review

Caitlyn has grown so much in the past month. She's gone from beginning crawling to crawling like a speed demon to pulling herself up to cruising to just finally learning how to get back down from standing (she sticks her booty out all the way and plops down). She is a total ball of spunk and is quick to cause mischief punctuated with a goofy grin. Her latest display is to scrunch up her face, crinkling her nose and giving a toothy grin. Her top two teeth have finally come in, after some incredible fussiness and sleeplessness. She's become a big fan of banging her hands on anything and everything - the coffee table, the steps, her toys, our faces. Her favorite toys are the Little People and her favorite book is Moo, Baa, LaLaLa (about animal sounds). She loves being outdoors and going on walks. It's so fun to watch her taking in everything around her and watching her eyes light up when she notices something new. She still has not displayed any separation anxiety, thankfully! Food wise there hasn't been much she doesn't like. Her all time favorites are strawberry yogurt, green beans and teething biscuits. We've been working on her holding her own bottle - I move her hands up every time I giver her one - and it seems like she's finally getting the hang of it, although she won't pick it up on her own. I've tried beginning the transition to a sippy cup a few times and while she has taken a sip or two, anything more results in a nuclear meltdown.

Showing off her new standing skills

She loves banging on things

So proud of herself (and yes, she was banging on the water bottle too)
