If you ever wanted to know what it looks like to be 36 weeks pregnant with twins, it's a little (or a lot) like this. So big I can barely get my hands around my stomach for a belly shot. And I can report that after my regular doctor's visit this week, there are no signs of labor, at all. I had been having contractions last weekend so I was hopeful I would be progressing at least a little bit, but no cigar. On Thursday, I had my specialist appointment to get another measurement on the twins. Chase is quite the hoss, weighing in at 6 lbs 10 oz (give or take 1 lb - putting him in the 74th % for all babies) and Emerson, no lightweight herself, is 5 lbs 14 oz (give or take 14 oz - 36%). So I am easily carrying over 12 lbs of baby and it certainly feels that way as I am slowing down more and more every day. Now that I know they're good and healthy, I am definitely anxious to get this show on the road.
Brian was extra sweet to me this weekend, letting me sleep in until almost 10am this morning and watching Caitlyn while I went and had a prenatal massage. I told the masseuse to hit all the pressure points to try and induce these babies out, but apparently they have other ideas. Then, after a haircut, Brian and I got out for what will be our last date night pre-twins. It was so nice having a quiet, relaxing meal out and some much needed mommy and daddy time. 12 days (and knowing my luck, it will the the full 12 days) and counting!

So excited for you, Kristin! I have a trip to DFW on my calendar...cannot wait to see all three babies (and you, of course!). Keep us posted - you're still looking hot!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! Glad you got your massage in, though it didn't induce labor. One week to go!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful. I can't wait to meet them and to see you again. Any pics with Caitlyn and the tummy?
