Three months in review, Part 1

Sweet baby boy

These three months have been some of the fastest and longest of my life. Things finally seem to be settling down and a routine is starting to, thankfully, emerge. Part one of our review is for our little Chase man. He is our barrel chested galoot. He's a big eater and I always get a laugh when I put on his bib because he stops crying and smiles - he knows it's time to eat! I'm not sure how much he weighs, but he has grown by leaps and bounds since his surgery. He makes Emerson look so tiny. He is definitely the more high maintenance of the two, constantly wanting attention and to be held. He usually has a few rough spells a day where he screams bloody murder for what seems to be no reason at all. Brian says it sounds like he's having his arms pulled off. It can definitely try my patience and sanity, but being around it constantly has made it easier to tune out.

While Chase is fussy during the day, he is totally awesome at night. As soon as he goes to bed he is down for the count, usually for 10-11 hours! I shouldn't complain with him sleeping like that, but it would be nice if he took a solid nap during the day. I suppose you can't have it both ways. He likes being in his swing and recently decided he likes sitting in the Bumbo chair watching the household action unfold around him. He is not a fan of tummy time on the floor, but seems to do ok for short periods if I put him on the couch with a pillow. His smiles are harder to come by then his sister, but he loves to coo and talk. He really is very sweet and cuddly - we can't wait to see what he has in store for us the next month (unless it's more screaming of course)!
