Our patriotic bunch
The kids and I spent the fourth at Lake Nacimiento with Nana, Papa, Aunt Katie and the rest of the Mueller's. As a special treat, Caitlyn and I started off the morning by driving to the closest city to see my brother and his wife (they were driving up for the holiday to visit our other brother at his new place). We had just a few hours together but we made the most of it eating breakfast and walking around the really cute downtown of Paso Robles. The rest of the day we enjoyed a family meal of Nettie's famous polenta and stew, went out on the boat, BBQd, were festively accessorized and decorated by Caitlyn, and even had s'mores. No fireworks this year, but being with family is even better!
