The Christmas Capital of Texas

Hanging with Santa at the Christmas Capital of Texas, Grapevine

After school let out in December, my best friend - a teacher - for almost 20 years, Becky, threw her lesson plans aside and came to visit us in Big D. We managed to get in some touristy trips to Grapevine and the Stockyards in Fort Worth and even included Brian in a visit to Gaylord's Charlie Brown ICE exhibit. It was so nice having some girl time - eating, shopping and watching all the movies our husbands won't go see with us. It was a much needed respite. I just wish that she lived closer so that we could do it more often.

Do I really have to wear this parka?

Merry Christmas!

Good grief Mom!
