We had a great Fourth of July weekend, even with the triple digit weather. Caitlyn went on a date with Daddy to the Fourth of July parade in a neighboring town. She wasn't too sure about all the noise and hullabaloo, but was ecstatic to get the goodies they were passing out to the kids - her favorite being a sucker of course! Caitlyn and I baked a cake and made red, white and blue popsicles together. She loves helping Mommy in the kitchen. In the afternoon we sat in the shade (thank goodness for small favors) on the porch while Caitlyn played in her princess pool and the sprinkler. And, being in Texas, we ate BBQ. We had Patrice in town for the holiday (she was helping after Chase's surgery) which made it all extra special.
