5 months in review - Parts 1 & 2

Just a few months shy of turning 6 months old and I'm just getting around to writing about last month. It's hard to imagine why I'm so behind! Emerson has started rolling over from her back to her tummy and Chase is exhibiting stronger trunk control and has finally figured out how to roll from his tummy to his back. They're both drooling all over the place and I'm expecting teeth in the next month or two based on when Caitlyn got her first ones. This month we started adding solid food to the rotation. Their first meal was sweet potatoes and I have to say neither one seemed all that thrilled, although Emerson was particularly disgusted. Chase eats a lot but has less mouth control meaning food gets everywhere. Emerson is much daintier in her approach, being less messy and eating less, but she has a much more discerning palate. So far they've tried rice cereal sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, squash, apples, pears, peaches and bananas with peanut butter. Chase is not a huge fan of sweet potatoes but will inhale pretty much anything else. Emerson will eat a little of but does not care for any vegetables but she loves all fruit, particularly bananas and peanut butter.
