Not so sure about being a big sister

I had really hoped that Caitlyn's transition to becoming a big sister would be relatively easy, but all that sisterly love that she was showering on Chase and Emerson? Well, it has turned a little south in the last week or so. While she still loves on them and gives them hugs and pats, she has taken to developing a glint in her eye, smile on her face and just being aggressive with them. She's pulled at their heads and their limbs, ripped their bottles and pacifiers out of their mouths, and just generally seems to be jealous and is acting out as a result. She has become whiney and cranky a lot of the time which is really unusual for her (although I'm sure part of this could just be the terrible two's). I'm really concerned with how I am going to keep her from attacking and injuring them when it is just me in the house. I don't think I would be as worried if it were unintentional, but since she knows full well what she's doing it's stressing me out a little. Brian and I have tried to give her extra attention and have even taken her on Mommy and Daddy dates, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Plus, Nana (and now Papa) have been showering her with attention around the clock and I worry if she is acting like this now what will she be like when there is no one else around to give her the one on one time she needs? I talked with her pediatrician and she recommended removing myself from the date time equation and said Caitlyn needs to form her primary bond with Daddy now. She also recommended focusing on all the things Caitlyn can do as a big girl that baby's don't get to do. In the meantime, she said that the aggression should subside in about 6 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, otherwise I might have to look into infant body armor. Here are some of the things Caitlyn has been up to in the last few weeks.

Giving Daddy some eskimo kisses

Busted! Hiding out underneath a friend's easel
