Princess Caitlyn is 3!
Three years ago your Daddy and I held you in our arms for the first time and fell instantly in love.
What a difference three years makes!
You've come a long way and are such a big girl now. You are also an unabashed girly girl who loves all things princess. You love helping me with my make up and putting on your own. You adorn yourself with jewelry and bows and prefer wearing dresses, especially in the summer when you don't have to wear pants or leggings with them. And don't get me started on shoes. You are very particular with your footwear. You are becoming a little sassier the older you get and sometimes Mommy and Daddy have a hard time getting you to listen because you get so riled up, especially at bedtime, but we also love that spunky independent side to you.
You absolutely adore your little brother and sister. I love watching the three of you interact and hearing your giggles. You've even gotten pretty good at sharing with them and even better at playing with them and keeping them entertained. It truly warms my heart seeing how close you are and I look forward to seeing you get closer the older you get. I always say if I had known I was having twins I would have waited another year, but I love the fact that you are all so close in age - I feel that it's created a strong bond between you.
My favorite time of the day with you is first thing in the morning. You run into our room sleepy eyed with your milk and come and snuggle with me until the babies get up. It is our very special time and I look forward to it every morning. You fluctuate between being a Mommy's girl and Daddy's girl, but I can always count on our morning snuggle time.
You love reading and playing pretend with your dolls and stuffed animals. While you haven't really taken to soccer like I had hoped (you like practice but really don't like the games), you still love dance. You are pretty much completely potty trained now rarely having any accidents, even during your nap or overnight. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!
On your actual birthday you got up and went to school bringing sparkly pink lemonade cookies for your classmates. After school, we went and played at The Ark with your birthday buddy Paul and then went to dance class where everyone sang to you. After dance we stopped at McDonald's to pick up dinner and then headed over to soccer practice. After practice we met Daddy at home to open presents and have birthday cake. It was a busy day but your excitement over turning 3 kept you in great spirits.
